When my wife and I moved to Colorado Springs away from family 1,200 miles away, we knew that child care was going to be intimidating for us. Over the years we have hired different nannies, babysitters and thankfully have made a few friends along the way as well. We spent a season fostering children and found that finding respite resources were extremely difficult. Throughout our years in Colorado Springs, we have learned that it truly takes a village, especially when my wife was sick and in the hospital almost weekly for 6 months. I have always been very involved in the care of our children and in vetting who we chose to leave our children with. While two of our children are older, we recently had a baby and we feel we are starting over again in the care search. My wife's illness has made it even more difficult and I now truly see what limited options are available for dual income families in the Colorado Springs area. As a father to my own and a previous foster parent to several other children, I have always wanted to advocate for the best care for my family. I am starting this referral agency so that I can make sure that other families like you can also receive the best care!
